IDW Offers First-Ever Transformers: Bumblebee Series

With the release of Transformers #1, IDW Publishing began the first Transformers ongoing series in years. It was a well-received start that quickly sold out. Now IDW continues to build upon this positive momentum with this month's release of Transformers: Bumblebee #1, a spin-off mini-series from the Transformers ongoing – and the first Bumblebee mini-series in comic history.  

From the debut of the first Transformers film, to IDW’s new comics featuring the Robots in Disguise, Bumblebee has been front and center in the fight against the Decepticons and may very well be the most popular Transformer amongst fans. 

In this new mini-series from writer Zander Cannon (Top Ten) and artist Chee, the recent shakeup in Autobot leadership leaves Bumblebee in charge of a group unconfident in his abilities. When the human military approaches him about a clandestine mission, he accepts in hopes of improving the Autobots’ reputation and will now have to disable all the remaining rogue robots still operating.
