A Brief History:
Atomic Empire was founded by a pair of gigantic geeks (Mark & JJ) who are into science fiction, fantasy, gaming, and comics. Our site went live in June of 2003 as ScifiGenre.com.
In July of 2006 our first brick-and-mortar store opened: Sci-Fi Genre Comics & Games, in Durham, NC.
We quickly outgrew our first home. In September of 2012, we moved a few blocks to a 12,000 square foot space and changed our name to Atomic Empire.
Come hang out in our huge gaming space, sample our selection of local brews on tap, and play a game from our demo wall!
